A1 Apleyhead to Newark Resurfacing Scheme

I am writing to let you know that we have successfully completed our essential maintenance on the A1 between Apleyhead and Newark.

During our programme of works, we have:

• Resurfaced the north and southbound carriageways including laybys and slip roads.
• Refreshed road markings and installed road studs and high friction surfacing.
• Carried out extensive vegetation clearance to the roadside and other routine maintenance.
• Improved road safety and created a smoother driving experience for all.
