BMX track

Elkesley Parish Council BMX track

BMX Track

The BMX track was designed and planned by one of the village residents who was keen to see it developed for the youngsters.  He and his friends gave up their time to do this.

The cost of the materials came from a grant allocated by the Parish Council who received some funding from Bassetlaw District Council.

Carillion then came on board with this project and planned to build the track in the ‘quiet’ time after the steel beams were put in place for the bridge across the A1.  They kindly offered to provide the materials, machinery and expertise to help make this a reality.

This meant we were able to use our original funding to enhance the area further and add extra features to it.

The final stages of the track are now being completed and hopefully it will be well used in the years to come.
