Elkesley Parish Council is seeking tenders from self employed Grounds Maintenance Contractors to support the Parish Council in maintaining public areas of Elkesley village.

The areas to be maintained are the grassed areas in the Church Yard and Cemetery along with the grassed areas around the play park as highlighted on the attached plan. This includes maintenance of hedges and pruning as and when required.

You will be expected to empty the 4 Parish Council bins on the sports field once every 2 weeks and highlight any damage seen whilst maintaining the Parish Assets.

The specific standard that the Parish Council is looking for is attached.

You will be expected to supply a copy of your Public Liability Insurance along with any other insurance required at the time of Tendering. The requirement for a licence to use weed killer would be beneficial.

All Tenders should be returned to the Elkesley Parish Council no later than Tuesday 2nd April 2024

Specific standard you should cover in your Tender

The grassed areas should be no longer than 10cm at any time during the growing period, unless agreed with the Parish Council.

BMX areas should be tidy.

The areas around gravestones should be strimmed and tidy. Flowers not on gravestones should be removed to the bin area.

Trees should not be overgrowing public areas and branches should be safe and not hanging down.

Edges to pavements should be clear of slip or trip hazards from moss or other vegetation.

Mole hills should be reported to the Parish Council along with any Health & Safety hazards.

Rubbish from bins on the playing field does not need to be transported to recycling centres as the Parish Council pays for bins to be collected from the village cemetery and churchyard.
