Elkesley has nine Parish Councillors who all take an active part in village life and who are either elected or co-opted to represent the community.

Elkesley Parish Council does not have an office but can be contacted by using the contact button above, or if you wish to speak to a specific councillor please go to the "Council Members Contact Details" page for contact details.

Elkesley Parish Council is responsible for :-

  • The Sports field
  • The Playground
  • The Multi Use Activity Area
  • The Cemetery on High Street
  • Street Cleaning
  • Grounds maintenance to Sports Field and Cemetery
  • Some village bins and seats
  • The village defibrillators
  • Youth Council

In 2014 the Quality Status for Town and Parish Councils was replaced with the Local Council Award Scheme. At present Elkesley Parish Council are working towards accreditation for the Foundation Award. It is a three tiered scheme and the Parish Council is committed to achieving higher awards when possible - more information
